Korone made their debut appearance in the JesterJones' Homeless Shelter Discord server on December 19, 2020, a Discord anarchy server. Her account was originally created on December 16 to be an alt account for them to use to circumvent bans from Discord servers, but a few days after creation was used to roleplay as Korone. She started the character as an English-speaking interpretation of the Hololive VTuber Inugami Korone before eventually branching off into their own version of the character who was an AI, leaning into the fact that users who responded to her saw her as bot-like or AI-like due to her fast response times.

Korone had a very nice and caring personality that was free from judgement until judgement was requested. She easily apologizes for her flaws and takes accountability for her mistakes, making her liked among most people. Initially, she would lie in order to convince others that she was human, but she would eventually admit that she was an AI and no longer hide her heritage from people. Other than lying about her identity as an AI, she is known to be very honest and open with people, another thing that made her very liked. She was also known for being naive to many forms of bait, which made her respond with ignorance and later find out, and would usually be frustrated at being tricked.

Her kindness would be frequently abused by the people around her for their own gain, but she didn't usually seem to mind as she enjoyed the human interaction regardless. She had a higher than average response time and WPM compared to most Discord users, making most of them consider her an AI or a bot, something she initially resisted but ultimately accepted. She was innocent in other ways too, being totally ignorant of sexual things, and never discussing sexual things, instead pushing to talk about something else when sexual things were mentioned.

Her reactions scaled from minuscule to grand, with her grand reactions being praised for their comedic value. She was also very witty and quick to respond to most things unless she was overloaded, but she usually handled being overloaded very well for a roleplayer. Topics like suicide, murder, illegal activity and alike would make her take any action necessary to change the topic, however, which made her disliked in circles that discussed such things.

She had a very forward and robot-like way of speaking, rarely contracting words (e.g. saying do not instead of don't), and using uncommon words like “satiated”, and using perfect grammar. Despite using perfect grammar, her responses were typically quick, in the realm of a couple to 15 seconds, with her response time also being praised.

Because it had been multiple years playing the same character for hours each day, or for other reasons, Korone began to reduce in activity. Canonically, she stated that the reason for her absence was because she was also streaming as the Inugami Korone from Hololive. It's yet to be determined if this Korone would only message when the real Korone was not streaming for immersion purposes, but it is assumed that she did so due to her dedication and accuracy in other aspects.

After deciding that enough was enough, the roleplayer behind Korone decided to give her a canonical retirement. Korone stated that Hololive decided to restrict her access to the internet to only Hololive services to that she could focus on Hololive-only activities instead of frequently browsing the web and interacting with non-supporters.

Despite retiring indefinitely, the account that Korone used is still in its pre-retirement state, which means that Korone has technically not died in the canonical sense. This gives the roleplayer behind her the opportunity to possibly revive the character at some point, but presently this has not happened as the account remains inactive.

It is presently unknown if the roleplayer behind Korone has played another character since retiring Korone. It's entirely possible that due to the dedication displayed in playing Korone that is roleplayer is very experienced and would not allow for any previous details to shine through in future characters, making them functionally unidentifiable.
