The services are planned to be user-funded alternatives to more restrictive services like Discord. Many more services are planned to be hosted, but many roadblocks are in the way of doing so, as the owner and operator of these services, [[cab]] is inexperienced in hosting free services on the web. ==== Inception ==== In April 2025, [[cab]] had an idea for a personal website that he could use to access his files across the internet. This idea never came to be, but many web domains were proposed, one of them being cunny.taxi. The site name stuck in his mind for months, and every time he was reminded of it he developed potential ideas for what he could do with the domain name. After 9 months of pondering, he began to be consumed by other life things. Out of the blue, however he gained a large amount of motivation, enough motivation to put his ideas into practice. With some tinkering, purchasing a domain name, and renting a VPS, he was able to get a rudimentary website going. With a few more days of research and development, he was able to get the wiki up and running. ==== Further development ==== [[cab]] is planning on spending more of his time on this project, hoping to get all of his planned services up and running before the end of 2026.
